Freakin’ Drama!
December 27, 2008 · 1 Comment
We had a wonderful Christmas day with all the grandkids, kids, and friends. Couldn’t ask for a more blessed day and then…..it all went to hell in a hand basket. All I want to say is that my youngest son’s ex-wife is MEAN, HORRIBLE, down right AWFUL! Her own mother said she is bi-polar and is unstable. And yet, she is out to totally destroy all that is good around my son. And it could go either way. My baby boy does NOT deserve this kind of misery and she just keeps going, and going, and going with terrible things. I know….no, EVERYONE knows him and what she is doing is just hurting everyone. I am praying to God that everything works out. The whole thing is making me sick to my stomach and this is just one thing that is just unforgiveable.
So, I was cruising on the digi forums and there was a posting about ‘One-Word’! The ‘one-word’ that I will use during 2009. So, this year’s word is: HOPE! Here are some words: wish, optimism, faith, dream, chance, possibility, anticipate, expectation, aspiration, anticipate, plan, likelihood, look-forward. My wish is that there is less stress, a drama-free year! I have to be optimistic that everything will work out for the best. My faith in God and that He will see us through this. A dream that DH and I will be able to go on a vacation this coming year….like….to a beach, with a drink in my hand, no cell phone, and listening to some Kenny Chesney music! Just by chance, some people can be happy and help to make life happy for others. I could keep going with all the words but I plan to use these as I go along my journey.
And, there’s some fabulous news coming with some CT announcements this week. I am totally thrilled and had to read the e-mails a couple of times just to make sure that what I was ready was really true! OMG!!!! You know I’ll be screaming when I see the announcements. Y’all better plug your ears! LOL
Here’s some photos from the big day!
Bill cooked a beef brisket for dinner and boy, did he do a fabulous job! Yes dear, it was good!
A silly father and son moment! This is definitely two of a kind!
Bill and our youngest grandson snuggled up on the chair.
Family photo….don’t know why they were the only one’s I seemed to have captured.
Billy’s HUSTLER shirt that he just loved! More like a wannabe!
The surprise! Yep, I got him a GPS! HA!
Sarah and Diesel-Boy! He’s the only dog I let in the house.
That look is priceless! I have never seen a 3-year-old so happy to get clothes for Christmas!
She was happy and content while being held by her daddy!
His sweet nature comes out! He loves my dessert….THE GOOD STUFF!
And me, on the floor with the grandbabies, putting the toys together and playing cars! Why do I get stuck with things like this? Cause the babies like it! LOL
Hope you all had a great day. I’m HOPING for things to get better around here.
And here’s to 2009!

Wishing Everyone a very Merry Christmas

After a week’s delay due to the ice storm we had last week, DH & I attended our grandson’s Christmas pageant and it was absolutely priceless!
There were plenty of songs by the 2, 3, and 4 year old groups and if I had thought about it, I would have video taped the 4-year olds doing the 12 Days of Christmas. I laughed so hard and left with a smile.
Here are a couple of photos from last night:
Looking for Meme and MaMaw
And brother just enjoying the festivities. This boy can dance to some Christmas music!
We’ve got family coming in today and tomorrow and we’ll be cooking up all kinds of food to feed them all.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our home to yours!

Winter has ARRIVED!
December 15, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Yep, the winter weather has arrived and boy….we’re getting it now! Ice & Sleet! What a mess!
It’s a little blurry but it’s COLD out there! And the best part of it…School is cancelled tomorrow!!!
So, life is going along these days and getting better. I usually don’t get depressed or anything this time of year but I felt really down the past few weeks. I love the holidays with the lights, carols, and the look in the eyes of my grandbabies. Look at my little cuties!
I swear they stood at that tree for an hour, checking out all the decorations.
So…..thought I’d pop on here and at least say ‘hello’! I’m heading offline and planning to sleep late tomorrow morning. I’ll eventually do a little work from home and try to head in later in the day. Until then, adios!

A Note from the WOODS
December 6, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Still in the woods, camping with DH and some friends. Looks like deer season 2008 is starting to wind down as the other hunters are pulling out their campers and heading home. There’s still a week to go but it seems like everyone is kinda burned out. I’m hoping DH pulls in this week but who knows. He’s a die-hard! LOL

Happy November, Y’all!
November 3, 2008 · 1 Comment
I know….I might actually get a few more posts going this month. Just don’t be shocked when it doesn’t happen, though. It’s that time of year….yep, hunting season, where I become a deer-hunter widow! YEAH!!!!! DH bought a camera to put out in the woods so he could see what was eating all the corn…..and look at this!
Boy, he is excited this year! And he put out some peanut butter one night and I will try and find the photo of the 7-9 raccoons that hit that pot of gold! Funny!
Let’s see….I better go back in time. Friday was Halloween and check out all my lil’ characters….uh, my grandbabies! They are absolutely adorable!
Here’s my youngest….little kitty cat Amaiya…only 2 weeks old!
Next is my silly skeleton Chris. Such a scary lil’ thing at 21 months old.
And look out….here’s BATMAN!
And when it gets hot….we bring in the fireman

He had to tell me about the smoke on his face!
Then we have all the grandbabies which includes Elise’s two darlings! Aren’t they a sight to see on Halloween!
I am so glad I had my camera and could capture these wonderful moments.
Don’t you just love this time of year? My mums are looking nice here.
Other than that, we have Sheila & Johnny living with us and they’re doing awesome! Both are working and getting back into life! I’m very proud of how far they’ve come! And to see JTs face lighten up when he sees them….its a great feeling.
So, until later….I’ll be back! Ta-Ta!

Still kickin’ and going

The fall season has come upon us here in the south and it feels wonderful! I love the cool nights and warm days and the colors of the season. It always means birthdays….lots of them, holidays, and hanging around bon fires! Dang, I can’t wait! As the earth turns cold and dormant for the winter, new things in our lives come up. And wouldn’t you like to check this out?!?! Yep, I’m selling QPs at TheDailyScrapper. Here’s some new things:
And just in time for Halloween….
So, look for them in the next couple of days.
And here’s one that you might like and I threw in a couple of extras:
Working on some pages…
I’m starting to catch up on things so look out, y’all. Until next time, I’m out enjoying some time with our daughter, Sarah, and her fiancee for the evening.

Back from FLL and I’m a grandma, again!
October 18, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Whew! Made it back from Mac server training in sunny Fort Lauderdale, FL and OMG! What a freakin’ place. There is tons to do and my favorite was just sitting on the beach at Palm Beach and watching the waves come in. I could just ‘veg’ out there all day without a care in the world. Oh, and Mac servers RAWK! Definitely worth the time and trouble to get there and get trained. I loved it….except for the non-stop wind. I thought it was windy here…..hell, it ain’t shit compared to Florida. But it was gorgeous!
So, while I waited for my return flight back to cold Arkansas, I learned that Elise was in labor and having my first granddaughter. She’s gorgeous!
Oh, and I can’t forget this one…even though I hadn’t had much sleep
She’s precious!
We have some relatives that are now living with us for a few while they get back on their feet. We’re so proud of them for getting clean and starting over. I think they realize that there’s so much to life.
Here they are watching the Blue Angels fly over. COOL! Guess I’m going to take them out to the air base tomorrow and really watch them. DH is in the woods…it’s muzzleloading season and he’s on the ‘HUNT’! LOL Hope he’s having a great time!
Until later….I’m outta here!
