I came across Michelle’s blog at Scrapability and she had a really cool thing about being Thankful.  So with that, here’s my take on being Thankful:

What I’m Up To ….

  1. Working on Christmas Altered projects
  2. Preparing food items to be cooked the day before Thanksgiving, even the Turkey that I bought at Popeyes…already cooked, just thaw, heat thoroughly, and serve.
  3. Worried about funds for Christmas….as always this time of year.
  4. What gifts to buy for our family.
  5. Watching shows on TV that I enjoy viewing while DH is off at Deer Camp.
  6. Reading my Google Reader of blogs that I watch.
  7. Checking my kids’ MySpace pages
  8. Hugs & Kisses for Michael since he’s going to bed.
  9. Wishing I was spending some ‘alone’ time with DH.

What I’m supposed to be up to…

  1. on VACATION.
  2. Getting food and all ready for Thanksgiving.
  3. Laundry, laundry, laundry….it never ends.
  4. Working on CT layouts…I just lack any mojo these past couple of weeks.
  5. Trying to stop smoking…this is NOT easy.
  6. Cleaning the bathrooms and re-caulking the tub.
  7. Reading a couple of books.
  8. Updating the district website with new photos.
  9. Preparing for fall Tech Conference the week after Thanksgiving.

What I’m Sick of getting up to….

  1. Work.
  2. Laundry.
  3. Watching DHs hunting shows.
  4. Dealing with kids and their wives/girlfriends.
  5. Paying bills.
  6. Cleaning the house.
  7. Ironing….YUCK!
  8. Physically putting up the windows in my car since the motor is out.
  9. Not having enough time to scrapbook.

What I Remain Thankful for…

  1. Healthy family.
  2. A job that I do enjoy going to each day.
  3. Grandbabies.
  4. Meeting new ‘Friday’ friends at Hardrider.
  5. Online forums to meet up with friends.
  6. Spending some quiet time with just DH.
  7. Food that nourishes by body.
  8. Enough reasons to complain about all the things I have in my life…for that I am one lucky person and Thankful for the good and bad in my life as they teach me to be happy and humble.

I’m going to spend some time with our darling granddaughter while she’s home visiting her daddy.

And here’s hoping that our daughter comes home for the holiday.

And if you made it this far, I wish you a very safe and Happy Thanksgiving.  See y’all after the holiday.
